The price translator: questions people ask
- Is this what the car would cost me?
- No. It is the Chinese list price expressed in another currency at one stored rate. Import duty, specification, homologation and local taxes all change the figure, and several of these models are not sold outside China at all.
- How current is the rate?
- The rate stored here is dated 4 September 2026 and is refreshed by hand, not by a live feed. The date is printed beside every converted figure so a stale rate is visible rather than hidden.
- Why is the export price so different?
- Because it is a different price, set in a different market with different equipment, warranty, duty and tax. Where a model is sold abroad its actual local price is on the model page, with the currency and the date it was current.
