The Geely Galaxy L7 was the first model of the Galaxy line, launched in China in April 2023 as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV. It sits on CMA, the Geely–Volvo compact platform, and measures about 4,710 mm long on a 2,785 mm wheelbase.
Two hybrid systems were offered. The NordThor 3DHT pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission; the EM-i system uses a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine with a single-speed unit. Battery packs of 18.4 kWh, 18.7 kWh and 29.8 kWh LFP were listed, with the smaller two rated 115 km of electric-only running on the CLTC cycle. The 2025 model year was listed from CNY 105,800 to CNY 138,800.
The L7 never left China. Wikipedia records Chinese sales of 66,247 units in 2023, 74,274 in 2024 and 36,334 in 2025, and gives 2026 as the end of production with the Galaxy M7 as successor. Geely's own Galaxy site did not list the L7 anywhere in its line-up on 4 September 2026 — the SUV rows were the M7, M9, Starship 7 and E5 — which is consistent with the car having been withdrawn, though Geely has published no statement to that effect. No NCAP result has been published.
