The Tank 700 is the largest and most expensive model in GWM's Tank range: 5,090 mm long, 2,061 mm wide and 1,952 mm tall on a 3,000 mm wheelbase, with a kerb weight above three tonnes. It went on sale in China in 2024 and is built at Tianjin.
The headline powertrain is the Hi4-T plug-in hybrid, a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 paired with an electric motor and a 37.1 kWh battery for 385 kW, driving through a nine-speed automatic. GWM quotes 90 km of electric-only running on the WLTC cycle and 2.97 litres per 100 km combined; a 2.4-litre turbodiesel is also offered.
The Tank 700 launched at 428,000 yuan for the plug-in hybrid. Unlike the Tank 300 and Tank 500, it had not been confirmed for any export market in the sources checked, and it is not part of GWM's Australian range.
