The Dongfeng Box is a small battery-electric hatchback, sold in China as the Nammi 01 under the Nammi sub-brand that Dongfeng launched in August 2023. Production began on 6 January 2024 and the car went on sale the next day from RMB 74,800, with six versions running to RMB 104,800.
It is 4,030 mm long on a 2,660 mm wheelbase, with a single 70 kW motor producing 160 Nm and a top speed of 140 km/h. Two lithium-iron-phosphate packs are offered: 31.45 kWh for 330 km CLTC and 42.3 kWh for 430 km CLTC. In European specification the same packs are rated at 230 km and 310 km on WLTP — a useful illustration of how far apart the two test cycles sit.
The car is exported widely for its size, reaching Norway, Finland and Switzerland as the Dongfeng Nammi Box, Nepal as the Nammi 01, and Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Vietnam and Hong Kong as the Dongfeng Box. A Euro NCAP three-star result dated 2025 is reported for the car, but no matching entry could be found on Euro NCAP's own site on 4 September 2026, so no rating is recorded here.
