The Z9 GT is Denza's large estate-backed grand tourer, revealed at the Beijing auto show in April 2024 and released in China that September. It shares its underpinnings with the Z9 saloon but uses a shorter, higher-tailed body. Denza sells it both as a battery-electric car and as a DM-i plug-in hybrid.
The car is built around what Denza calls the e³ platform: three electric motors driving all four wheels, rear-axle steering with up to 20 degrees of lock, and a vehicle motion control system the company quotes at a 10-millisecond response. The battery is integrated into the body structure. European specification quotes 850 kW and 1,210 Nm for the electric version, with a 122.49 kWh pack and 600 km of WLTP range; the Chinese refresh claims 1,036 km on the CLTC cycle.
The Z9 GT led Denza's European introduction, launched with the D9 at the Palais Garnier in Paris on 8 April 2026 at EUR 115,000 for the electric car and EUR 101,000 for the plug-in hybrid. United Kingdom orders opened on 23 July 2026. It was also the car that brought BYD's flash-charging system to Europe, quoted at a maximum of 1,500 kW and 10 to 70 per cent in five minutes.
