The ET9 is NIO's flagship, a 5,325 mm executive saloon on a 3,250 mm wheelbase built on the company's NT 3.0 platform. It was previewed at NIO Day 2023 in Xi'an on 23 December 2023, shown in production form at NIO Day 2024 in Guangzhou on 21 December 2024, and delivered from late March 2025.
Its distinguishing engineering is electrical rather than mechanical: NIO describes the ET9 as the first Chinese production car with a fully 900-volt architecture, quoting a 925 V maximum system voltage and up to 600 kW of charging power. The car also introduces the SkyRide active chassis, which combines hydraulic active suspension with rear-wheel steering, and NIO's own Shenji NX9031 driving chip.
At launch the ET9 was priced at 788,000 CNY, or about 660,000 CNY with the battery rented under Battery as a Service. It has not been announced for sale outside China, and no Euro NCAP or ANCAP result exists for it.
