The Avatr 12 is a large fastback saloon on the same CHN platform as the Avatr 11, launched in China in 2023. It is 5,020 mm long on a 3,020 mm wheelbase and is offered both as a battery-electric car and, since later updates, as an extended-range car in which a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine works only as a generator.
Battery-electric packs published for the car are 94.53 kWh and, from the 2026 model, 98.07 kWh, rated between 650 km and 755 km on CLTC. Extended-range versions use 39.05 kWh or 52.01 kWh packs for 245 km to 356 km of electric-only CLTC range. Outputs span a single rear motor of 233 kW up to a triple-motor arrangement quoted at 955 hp, about 712 kW; the figure recorded here is that maximum.
Avatr's own site showed a guide price of RMB 293,900 on 4 September 2026; the May 2025 update had opened at RMB 269,900 for extended-range versions. Exports have been limited: Qatar from February 2025. Huawei holds no shares in Avatr and supplies the driver-assistance, cockpit and electric-drive technology.
