The Tiggo 8 is Chery's seven-seat family SUV and the company's most-searched model in Britain. It is 4,720 mm long on a 2,710 mm wheelbase in the form Chery Australia sells as the Tiggo 8 Pro Max, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine of 180 kW and 375 Nm, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive.
The plug-in hybrid, badged Tiggo 8 Super Hybrid in Australia and Tiggo 8 CSH on Chery's international site, uses a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, a 150 kW motor and an 18.4 kWh battery. Chery Australia quotes 95 km of electric-only running on the NEDC cycle and 1,200 km combined. In China the range runs from the Tiggo 8 to the Tiggo 8 Plus and Pro, and Chery's China site listed a starting price of 99,900 yuan on 4 September 2026.
Euro NCAP assessed the Tiggo 8 in July 2025 as a partner model to the Tiggo 7 and awarded four stars, after Chery corrected a side curtain airbag deployment problem found in the earlier test. ANCAP holds five-star results for the Tiggo 8 Pro Max (2023) and the Tiggo 8 (2025).
