Haval H9: range, price, specs and where it is sold
Facts checked
The H9 is Haval's ladder-frame seven-seat off-roader, in production since 2014 and replaced by a second generation in 2024. It shares its P71 body-on-frame chassis with GWM's Poer pickup. The second-generation car is 4,950–5,070 mm long on a 2,850 mm wheelbase; the figures recorded here are for the longest version.
Powertrains are conventional: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four of 160–180 kW and a 2.4-litre turbocharged diesel, with eight- or nine-speed automatic gearboxes. There is no hybrid version. A twin-turbo diesel was offered on the first generation between 2016 and 2018.
Haval's Chinese site listed the second-generation H9 in 2026 specification at 199,900 yuan on 4 September 2026. GWM Australia sold the first-generation H9 but did not list the model in its current range when checked; the second generation is assembled in Russia, Brazil and Uzbekistan as well as China.
