Facts checked United States status as of 4 September 2026

Listing: Hong Kong since 15 December 2003 (stock code 2333) and Shanghai since 28 September 2011 (601633)

Haval is Great Wall Motor's SUV brand and its biggest seller by a wide margin: 758,554 vehicles in calendar 2025, about 57% of everything the company sold. It was split out as a standalone marque in March 2013, though the name had been on Great Wall SUVs since 2005, when it was spelled Hover.

The H6 is the model that built the brand — for years the best-selling SUV in China — with the smaller Jolion below it, the H7 and H9 above, and hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions across the range.

Haval is the Great Wall brand most often seen abroad. It has been on sale in Australia since 2015 and is sold in South Africa, Russia, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Malaysia, the UK, Italy, the Gulf states, Central Asia and elsewhere; in several of those countries the local Great Wall website is still a Haval one. It has never been sold in the United States.

A brand of Great Wall Motor Company Limited; sold abroad as GWM Haval.
