The Jaecoo 8 is the brand's flagship: a seven-seat SUV 4,820 mm long on a 2,820 mm wheelbase, sold in Britain only as a plug-in hybrid. Jaecoo UK quotes a 1.5-litre turbo engine with a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and all-wheel drive for 428 PS (315 kW), a 34.46 kWh battery, 83 miles (134 km) of electric-only running on the WLTP cycle and more than 700 miles combined from the battery and a 70-litre tank.
In China the same car is the Chery Tiggo 9, with the plug-in hybrid sold under the Fulwin sub-brand as the Fulwin T10. Chery Australia sells both badges side by side — the Tiggo 9 Super Hybrid and the Jaecoo J8 — and Russia gets it as the Jeland J8, Iran as the Lucano L8.
British prices start at £45,500 on the road for the seven-seat Luxury and £47,500 for the six-seat Executive. Australia launched the J8 on 7 May 2025 from A$49,990 driveaway and Malaysia on 18 July 2025 from RM179,000. No Euro NCAP or ANCAP result had been published for the model.
