The Starlight is the family car Wuling put above its city cars: a 4,835 mm four-door saloon on a 2,800 mm wheelbase, launched in China in August 2023 under the brand's Silver Badge line. Unlike the Mini EV and the Bingo it is offered two ways, as a battery-electric car and as a plug-in hybrid, which is why SGMW lists it under both headings on its own site.
The electric car uses 41.9 kWh or 54.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate packs for 410 km or 510 km CLTC, with a 100 kW front motor and a 150 km/h top speed. The plug-in hybrid pairs a 79 kW 1.5-litre petrol engine with 9.5 kWh or 20.5 kWh packs for 70-150 km of electric-only CLTC range. SGMW lists the 2025 car at CNY 92,800-125,800.
The Starlight name now covers a family rather than one car: the Starlight S and Starlight L are separate bodies, and the Starlight 560 and 730 are MPVs, each with its own price band on Wuling's site. Exports have been limited; the Philippines took the car from 2025 and it is not offered in Britain, Australia or the United States.
