The Deepal S07 is a mid-size SUV from Deepal, the electric sub-brand of state-owned Changan Automobile. It went into production in China on 31 May 2023 as the S7 and was later renamed S07. It uses Changan's EPA1 platform and is 4,750 mm long on a 2,900 mm wheelbase. Two powertrains are offered: a battery-electric version and an extended-range version in which a 1.5-litre petrol engine works only as a generator and never drives the wheels.
The updated Chinese car launched on 19 September 2025 from RMB 156,900. The battery-electric version has a 68.82 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate pack rated at 550 km CLTC with a 200 kW rear motor; the extended-range versions use 31.73 kWh or 39.05 kWh packs for 230 km or 300 km of electric-only CLTC range and 1,320 km or 1,385 km combined. Huawei's Qiankun ADS SE driver-assistance system is standard on that update.
Export cars use a 79.97 kWh pack. Australia sells the S07 at A$47,990 drive-away with 160 kW and 475 km WLTP, backed by a seven-year vehicle warranty and eight-year battery warranty. Euro NCAP tested a left-hand-drive base-level S07 in 2024 and awarded five stars, with 95% for adult occupant protection, 87% for child occupants, 74% for vulnerable road users and 77% for safety assist.
