The Deepal S05 is Changan Deepal's compact SUV, launched in China in the third quarter of 2024 on the Changan EPA1 platform. It is 4,620 mm long on a 2,880 mm wheelbase and is sold both as a battery-electric car and as an extended-range car whose 1.5-litre petrol engine works only as a generator.
The updated Chinese car launched on 7 August 2026 from RMB 119,900 in five trims, split into a 520 line using a 56.12 kWh CATL lithium-iron-phosphate pack and a 620 line using a 68.82 kWh pack, both driven by a single rear motor of up to 200 kW. The top trims carry a 128-channel Hesai lidar and two Horizon Robotics J6M chips.
European cars use the 68.8 kWh pack and are rated at 485 km on WLTP. EV Database records German sales from September 2025, Dutch sales from December 2025 and British sales from March 2026, at €38,990 and £37,990. Deepal also lists the S05 in Australia, and Changan sells it in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Pakistan.
