The Avatr 11 is the first model from Avatr, the premium electric brand set up by state-owned Changan Automobile with the battery maker CATL and Huawei as technology partners. It went on sale in China on 8 August 2022. The car is 4,880 mm long on a 2,975 mm wheelbase and uses the CHN platform that the three companies developed together.
Battery-electric versions use CATL nickel-manganese-cobalt packs of 90.38 kWh or 116.79 kWh, rated at 555 km and 680 km on the CLTC cycle. Rear-drive cars make 230 kW; all-wheel-drive cars make 425 kW. Extended-range versions, with a petrol engine acting as a generator, were added with the December 2024 update, which opened at RMB 279,900. Avatr's own site listed a guide price of RMB 289,900 on 4 September 2026.
Huawei does not hold shares in Avatr. It supplies hardware and software — electric drive units and the systems for driver assistance, connectivity and infotainment — while Changan builds and sells the car. Exports began in Nepal in August 2024 and have since reached Thailand, Qatar, Brunei and Pakistan.
