The E-HS9 is a full-size battery-electric SUV from Hongqi, the state-limousine marque of FAW Group. It was launched in China on 4 December 2020 from RMB 509,800, with five versions running to RMB 729,800, and is offered with four, six or seven seats. It measures 5,209 mm long and 2,010 mm wide on a 3,110 mm wheelbase.
Motor options at launch were 160 kW and 245 kW per axle, giving a combined maximum of 405 kW and a quoted 4.9 seconds to 100 km/h. CATL packs of 84 kWh to 120 kWh have been published, with a maximum of 760 km on CLTC, 645 km on NEDC and 548 km on WLTP — three figures for the same car on three different tests.
Norway was the first export market and the car passed 1,000 Norwegian deliveries by July 2022, when it was priced at NOK 619,900. Euro NCAP tested a left-hand-drive E-HS9 Deluxe long-range four-wheel-drive car in 2025 and awarded five stars, with 82% for adult occupant protection, 87% for child occupants, 73% for vulnerable road users and 82% for safety assist.
