Xpeng X9: range, price, specs and where it is sold
Facts checked
The X9 is XPENG's people carrier, revealed on 24 October 2023 with Chinese deliveries from 1 January 2024. It is 5,293 mm long on a 3,160 mm wheelbase — a 2026 update stretched it to 5,316 mm — and is built on SEPA 2.0.
Two engineering features stand out. Rear-wheel steering of up to five degrees is standard, which XPENG says cuts the turning radius to 5.4 metres, and the body has a drag coefficient of 0.227, which the company claims as a first for an MPV. Batteries have run from 84.5 kWh to 110 kWh depending on market and model year, with 610–702 km on the CLTC cycle and 480–575 km on WLTP, and outputs from 235 kW to 395 kW. A range-extender version was added from late 2025.
The X9 is exported to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. It has not been rated by Euro NCAP or ANCAP.
