The Deepal G318 is a boxy off-road SUV and the third model from Changan's Deepal brand, after the SL03 sedan and the S07. It was launched in Lhasa on 13 June 2024 from RMB 175,900, with six versions running to RMB 318,000. The name is taken from China National Highway 318, the road that runs from Shanghai to the Nepalese border and whose Sichuan–Tibet section is the country's best-known long-distance drive.
It is an extended-range electric vehicle: a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine works only as a generator. Entry cars use an 18.99 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate pack for 100 km of electric-only CLTC range; higher versions carry a 35.07 kWh pack for up to 190 km. Rear-drive versions make 185 kW and 310 Nm and reach 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds; four-wheel-drive versions add a 131 kW front motor for 6.3 seconds.
The five-seat body is 5,010 mm long, 1,985 mm wide and 1,895 mm tall on a 2,880 mm wheelbase. Changan reported 6,966 Chinese sales in 2024 and 10,017 in 2025. The model has not been confirmed for export.
