Jetour was set up on 22 January 2018 to sell family SUVs at low prices, and grew faster than any other Chery marque: the millionth Jetour was built in January 2024, 65 months after the brand started. It sold 622,590 vehicles in calendar 2025, second only to the Chery badge itself.
The range is almost entirely SUVs and seven-seaters, sold in China as the X and Dashing series and abroad under names such as X70, X90 and T2. A plug-in hybrid sub-line, Shanhai, arrived in November 2023.
Exports go mainly to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, Russia, Central Asia and Pakistan. Jetour has said it plans to enter Australia by early 2027. No Jetour has been sold in the United States.

Who owns Jetour?
Wuhu municipal government (Wuhu SASAC) holds a stake in Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. at 21.17% since January 2025.
The Wuhu city government holds its Chery shares through Wuhu Investment Holding Co., Ltd., which is 95.59% owned by the city's state-asset commission. It became a direct holder of 21.17% of Chery Automobile in January 2025 and was diluted by the September 2025 share issue; the largest holder is shown at about 19.9% in later data. Chery told the Hong Kong exchange that no single party is able to control the company.
Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. owns Jetour at 100% since 22 January 2018.
Jetour was established on 22 January 2018 and is Chery's second-largest brand by volume.
