Ford Motor Company: what it holds, with stakes and dates

Facts checked Chinese holding 0%

Ford is American. The Ford family keeps about 40% of the voting rights through Class B shares and no Chinese company owns part of the business. Ford does sell China-built cars abroad: the Territory SUV is built by Jiangling Motors at Nanchang -- Ford holds 32% of JMC -- and sold in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, the Gulf, South-East Asia and, since March 2024, South Africa. Ford's other China venture is Changan Ford, which builds the Lincoln Nautilus for the United States.
