Loncin is the mainstream motorcycle badge of the Chongqing company of the same name, founded in 1993. The range is commuter motorcycles, underbones, scooters and ATVs, sold at volume in China and exported to more than 70 countries, mostly in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The company behind the badge is better known internationally as a contract engine builder. It has supplied BMW Motorrad since 2005, first with the single-cylinder units for the F650GS and G650GS and from 2019 with the 895cc parallel twin used in the F900 range, and it signed a strategic partnership with MV Agusta in 2019. Capacity is more than two million engines and over 1.5 million motorcycles a year.
Since 2018 Loncin has put its larger and more expensive machines under the separate Voge name, leaving the Loncin badge on the volume products.
