Voyah Voyah Free: range, price, specs and where it is sold

Facts checked

The Voyah Free is a mid-size SUV from Voyah, the premium electric brand of the state-owned Dongfeng Motor Group. It was presented in December 2020, entered series production in China in early 2021 and is built on Dongfeng's ESSA architecture. Both battery-electric and extended-range versions have been offered from the start; in the extended-range car a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine drives a generator rather than the wheels.

The car sold in Norway is the battery-electric all-wheel-drive version: 103.1 kWh net, 500 km on WLTP, 360 kW, 4,905 mm long on a 2,960 mm wheelbase, with 100 kW maximum DC charging and a quoted 40 minutes from 10% to 80%. Voyah Norway's configurator listed it from NOK 599,000 on 4 September 2026, including VAT and vehicle tax.

A second generation was shown at Auto Shanghai in 2025 with a 43.2 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate pack in the extended-range version and Huawei's ADS 4 driver assistance. Chinese reports put its opening price near RMB 219,900, but that figure could not be confirmed from Dongfeng or Voyah and is left unrecorded here. Euro NCAP has tested the Voyah Courage, a different model, but not the Free.
