The IM6 is the export name for the IM LS6, IM Motors' electric mid-size SUV and the brand's highest-volume model in China, where it launched in October 2023 and was facelifted in September 2024. It is 4,904 mm long on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, with a drag coefficient IM publishes as 0.23.
MG Australia sells three versions: a 75 kWh rear-drive Premium on a 400 V system rated 217 kW and 450 km WLTP; a 100 kWh rear-drive Platinum on an 800 V silicon-carbide system rated 300 kW and 555 km WLTP; and a 100 kWh all-wheel-drive Performance rated 372 kW total and 505 km WLTP, with rear-wheel steering and air suspension. Chinese packs run 71-100 kWh and are quoted up to 760 km CLTC; a range-extender version was added to the Chinese line-up with the 2025 facelift.
Export launches ran Thailand on 24 March 2025, Australia on 12 June 2025 with first deliveries on 30 July, New Zealand on 22 August 2025, Singapore on 25 September 2025 and Britain and Europe through MG from September 2025. India is planned for October 2026 through MG Select. No Euro NCAP result has been published; MG Australia displays a five-star ANCAP mark on its own page, which we could not confirm from ANCAP.

- What is the IM6 called in China?
- IM LS6, written 智己LS6 (Zhìjǐ LS6, 'JIH-jee L-S-six'). It went on sale in China in October 2023, about eighteen months before the export launches.
- Is the IM6 the same as the MG IM6?
- Yes. IM Motors sells through MG's dealer network outside China, so the car carries an MG prefix in Europe and Thailand and is simply the IM6 in Australia and New Zealand.
- What is the IM6's range?
- MG Australia quotes 450 km WLTP for the 75 kWh Premium, 555 km for the 100 kWh Platinum and 505 km for the all-wheel-drive Performance. Chinese versions are quoted up to 760 km on the CLTC cycle.
- Where is the IM6 sold?
