Mazda is Japanese: Mazda Motor Corporation of Hiroshima is held mainly by Japanese trust banks, with Toyota at 5.1% and no Chinese shareholder. Its electric saloon, the 6e, is a different matter -- it is developed with Changan, built by Changan Mazda at Nanjing and sold in Europe from mid-2025, Australia from February 2026, Thailand from March 2026 and Indonesia from July 2026. In China the same car is the Mazda EZ-6.
