Onvo is NIO Inc.'s second marque, launched on 15 May 2024 to sell family-sized battery-electric cars below the price of a NIO. Its first and, so far, principal model is the L60, a mid-size SUV that went on pre-sale the day the brand was announced at RMB 219,900 with deliveries promised for September 2024.

Onvo cars use the same battery-swap network as NIO's own models, which is the practical reason for the brand existing inside NIO rather than as a separate venture: it spreads the cost of the swap stations over more cars.

Onvo delivered 107,808 vehicles in 2025 out of NIO Inc.'s group total of 326,028. Its monthly volumes fell through late 2025 as NIO's own third-generation ES8 took attention; December 2025 deliveries were 9,154, down 13.05% on the same month a year earlier.

The brand is sold mainly in China. NIO has announced Onvo for markets reached through local distributors, including Uzbekistan and Costa Rica, where the L60 is part of the announced line-up.

Onvo is a marque of NIO Inc., not a separate company; it was launched to sell family cars below the NIO brand.

L'imad wholly owns CYVN Investments, the entity that holds the NIO shares, following the January 2026 reorganisation of Abu Dhabi's holdings.
CYVN Holdings holds a stake in NIO at 20.1% since 27 December 2023.
CYVN Investments RSC Ltd of Abu Dhabi built its holding through an investment of about US$1.1 billion completed in July 2023 and a US$2.2 billion share subscription that closed on 27 December 2023 under an agreement dated 18 December 2023. Its Schedule 13D/A filed on 28 February 2024 reports 418,833,157 NIO Class A ordinary shares as of 26 February 2024 — 21.7% of the Class A shares and about 20.1% of all ordinary shares outstanding — with sole voting power over all of them. CYVN appointed two directors to NIO's board on 7 February 2024.
