Kove: owner, models, markets and what the name means

Facts checked United States status as of 4 September 2026

Kove was founded in Chongqing in 2017 and built its reputation on rally and off-road machines rather than commuters. Its best-known model is the 450 Rally, a competition-derived bike that the company has taken to the Dakar Rally, and the range now runs from 250cc to 800cc across ADV, rally, sport, naked, off-road and classic categories.

The company says it keeps engine, frame and final assembly in house, holds more than 100 granted patents and has developed its own multi-cylinder engines and axial-flux motors. It has manufacturing in Chongqing and Chengdu, and describes itself as the fifth-largest Chinese brand for machines of 250cc and above.

Racing is central to the brand's marketing: alongside Dakar it has entered road racing and the World Superbike paddock, and it has been reported as planning an MXGP 250 entry for 2027. Distribution is through importers, with dealer networks in Australia, Malaysia and parts of Europe.

Not part of the groups in this file. Kove's own site names Tibet Summit Colove Motorcycle Sales Co., Ltd. as its parent. The brand was founded in Chongqing in 2017 and is not listed.
