The ET7 is NIO's full-size electric saloon and the first car built on the company's NT 2.0 platform. It was unveiled on 9 January 2021, went on sale in China on 28 March 2022, and reached its first European customers in Germany and the Netherlands in October 2022, with Denmark and Sweden following in November.
At 5,101 mm long on a 3,060 mm wheelbase it sits above the ET5. The dual-motor drivetrain is rated at 480 kW. Three swappable packs are offered — 75 kWh, 100 kWh and a 150 kWh semi-solid-state pack that NIO says takes the car past 1,000 km on the CLTC cycle. As with every NIO, the pack can be bought with the car or rented monthly under Battery as a Service.
Euro NCAP tested a left-hand-drive ET7 in 2022 and awarded five stars, with 95% for safety assist — among the strongest scores in that category for the year.

- How far does a NIO ET7 go on a charge?
- On China's CLTC cycle NIO quotes 550 km with the 75 kWh pack, 705 km with the 100 kWh pack and 1,050 km with the 150 kWh semi-solid-state pack. On the European WLTP cycle the figures are 445 km and 580 km for the two smaller packs.
- Where can you buy a NIO ET7?
- In China and in NIO's five European markets: Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. It is not sold in the United States, the United Kingdom or Australia.
- What is the 150 kWh NIO battery?
- It is a semi-solid-state pack supplied by WeLion that fits the same swap stations as NIO's other packs. NIO offers it mainly as a rental upgrade for long trips rather than as an outright purchase.
- Is the NIO ET7 safe?
- Euro NCAP tested it in 2022 and gave it five stars, with 91% for adult occupant protection, 87% for child occupant protection, 73% for vulnerable road users and 95% for safety assist.
