The M5 was the first AITO model, unveiled as an extended-range car on 23 December 2021 and delivered from 2022. It is built by Seres Group under the AITO badge, which belongs to Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance; Huawei supplies the HarmonyOS cockpit, the ADS driver-assistance system and the electric drive, and sells the car in its own stores. A battery-electric version followed in September 2022.

The car is 4,785 mm long on a 2,880 mm wheelbase. Extended-range versions use packs of about 40–42 kWh; battery-electric versions use packs of about 79.9–83 kWh. Rear-drive versions make 200 kW and four-wheel-drive versions 365 kW.

A facelift, the M5 Ultra, was announced on 1 March 2025. AITO's own figures for it are 1,440 km combined CLTC range for the rear-drive extended-range version, 1,275 km for the four-wheel-drive extended-range version, and 602 km CLTC for the rear-drive battery-electric version. A Chinese price could not be confirmed from an official AITO page on 4 September 2026 and is left unrecorded.
